My story

Cooking has been a passion of mine from a young age as I was inspired by my grandmother. She loved to cook and feed all the family and I believe she had great joy from seeing our satisfied faces when our stomachs were full.  I have alot of fond memories of us all sat enjoying good food around the dining table.

 

She enjoyed providing a service for others and this has been passed on to my father as he was the cook in our home when I was growing up.

 

 

We had a a variety of home cooked foods from curries, cooked dinners to Italian food as my father loved providing a good meal; however what he loved most of all was seeing us eating a substantial meal.

 

I then got the same passion from my dad as I did my grandmother.

 

When I finally found my calling in life it was like I found my purpose at last.

 

I started at the bottom of the catering ladder in my career by working in the kitchen and washing dishes, making cups of teas for the chefs and being yelled at everyday by kitchen managers.

 

I worked my way up the career ladder through grit,determination and hard-work and within five years I was qualified and became a Kitchen Manager and was a trusted employee of a restaurant which I managed fully from start to finish. I was blown away when this made it into the news for being ranked one of the best country pubs in Wales due to its great views and great food! A truly proud moment I must say.

 

I then stepped it up a gear and went to work in a hotel something I’ve never done before. This was rosette level and I had a promotion with in 8 months.

 

This was all amazing however I was not quite fulfilled as something was still missing.

 

On reflection I realised that although I was doing well it was not my own business and that was what was missing.

I wanted  something I could call mine

and that’s when I decided to set up my

own family business.

 

​

 

The name was inspired from my sons as they are the reason I work so hard to give them the best possible life they can have.

I decided on the name 'Luceos' which is a combination of my sons names 'Luca' and 'Theo'.

 

As I want my family to be proud of what I have created for them, I decided on setting a healthy standard for them with good healthy food and shakes on offer.

 

 I wanted to set an example and make a change when it came too street food and I wanted a healthy new way of living and that’s why my menu stands out from the rest.

I created the menu with health and wellbeing at the forefront of my mind and with lots of love and passion from my heart.

    I believe my options are authentic and offers something for          

    everyone. 

 

    I am a great  believer in the quote “do the job you love and you                  will never have to work another day in your life”

 

      So there you have it, my story to date and my purpose in life.
